The HMCS website does not automatically capture or store personal information, other than logging the user's IP address and session information such as the duration of the visit and the type of browser used. This is recognised by the web server and is only used for system administration and to provide statistics which HMCS uses to evaluate use of the site.
You may be asked for personal information if you want to take advantage of specific services we offer. In each case we will only use the personal information you provide to deliver the services you have told us you wish to take part in.
Information you provide to the courts for the administration of justice may be used for statistical and/or research purposes.
You do not have to ask permission to link directly to pages hosted on this site. We do not object to you linking directly to the information that is hosted on our site. However, we do not permit our pages to be loaded into frames on your site. Her Majesty's Courts Service pages must load into the user's entire window.
